I was born in Pecos, Texas in 1959.  My family moved to Midland in 1968.  I started welding in the 10^th grade metal shop class.  I also played tennis and I received a full scholarship to South Plains College.  After college, I returned to Midland and I started my career with Geophysical Services, Inc. as a Computer Operator.  I advanced to System Administrator.  The Midland office closed in 2003 and I was laid off.  I started my own business, Love & Son Welding.  Programming and welding are similar to each other as you have to take an analytical approach to both.
